Congratulations to Ruby who represented Manly Lawn. She won two matches on the clay to qualify for an ITF Junior in Finland. She unfortunately ran into a top Finnish junior and went down 6-1, 6-2. Great experience playing with all the older international girls.
A reminder about visitors
Guests and visitors are welcome at the Club. A visitor is allowed 6 visits to the Club per year, after which they must join the Club or pay court hire.
Visitors fees are:
- Online court bookings $12 – paid online when booking your court
- Saturday Social $20 – paid cash or EFTPOS at the bar on the day
Visitors of club members, including family who are non-members, must pay the visitor fee to the Club prior to play. It is the responsibility of the member to ensure non-members have paid prior to playing.
Club Captain’s Report
It was another winning weekend for most of our Badge Teams and three teams remain in first place. With only 3 rounds remaining we should have a record number of teams in the semi finals.Good wins also for The Bulldogs,Manly and (for Todd) The Panthers in the NRL.

Round 11 Badge Results
Division 1 Men’s
Manly 1 won 7-1 away at Mortlake
Oliver/Andrew 4 sets Cam/Justin 3 sets.
This win keeps the team in first position
Division 2 Men’s
Won 5-3 at home v Kooroora
Sam/Wilko 2 sets Bosko/ Harry 3 sets
Bosko made a winning return to Badge after a long break. The bar takings increased 50% because of Bosko and his many friends .The team is a close third.
Division 3 Men’s
Manly 3 Lost 5-2 away to Strathfield
Vincent/Sean won 2 sets with 1 unfinished. Now in 5th position .
Division 5 Men’s
Manly 4 Lost 6-2 at Keirle Park v Tennis Valley
Jarryd/Sam 1 set. Geoff/Michael 1 set. Now in 6th position
Division 8 Men’s
Manly 5 Won 7-1 at home v Killara
Richard/Alec 4 sets Hugo/Denis 3 sets Now in 2nd position
Division 10 Men’s
Manly 6 Won 8-0 at home v Killara
Mike/Brodie 4 sets Daniel/Gabriel 4 sets. Daniel made a winning return to Badge and also gave his team a free coaching lesson!
Division 11
Manly 7 Won 4-4 on games v Cheltenham away
Barnaby/Tom won 4 sets Ray Dummett filled in with Stu to play 4 close sets to enable the team to win on games. Ray has only been back a few days and was tired from his trip overseas so it was a brave effort to help out.
Women’s Division 1
Won 4-4 on games v Kooroora 1
Kooroora could only send 1 pair to Manly which enabled a win for our team.
Now in 8th position
Women’s Division 3
Manly 2 won 5-3 v Manly 2 at home.
A close win to our unbeaten Ladies against our other Manly team.
Krista/Sarah won 3 sets Virginia/Kirsten 2 sets.
Penny/Christine 1 set Larissa/Shelley 2 sets. The Ladies are now 1st and 4th.
Women’s Division 4
Manly 4 had a bye. Still in 3rd position
Thursday Ladies Won 4-4 on games v Royal Sydney
Barbara/Lisa 4 sets. The team is now 2nd.
Our Ladies and Men’s Top Teams both play late matches at home this Saturday so there will be plenty of good tennis to watch.
