Monday a crowd of approximately 50 people were in attendance to see Owen Kennedy laid to rest. Owen’s brother, Peter, and George Paul both spoke well about Owen’s life at the service. About 20 members from Manly Tennis were at the service and again later at Dee Why RSL for refreshments. Here a few more tributes were paid to Owen including Lindy who spoke highly of how Owen had given her plenty of encouragement over the years for her tennis. Owen’s tournament will be held annually in November so he will be always remembered.
